Writing
During my degree, I have completed and excelled in multiple media & digital writing courses. Here are some samples of my writing from assignments I did, and a brief explanation of what each assignment was. The writing pieces are attached to this page as pdf files underneath their descriptions. Although creative writing isn't part of my main skillset outside of songwriting, I have proven myself to be an effective digital and media writer.

How To Write A Song
(2022)
In my first media writing class I was assigned to write a how-to style article that tied into a recent news story; I chose to tie my article in with the death of country singer Loretta Lynn in 2022. I also framed the songwriting process as growing a plant to add interest.
Allie Gregory Profile (2022)
This is the first profile I ever wrote based off of the first interview I ever conducted for my first media writing class. I had the pleasure of interviewing Exclaim! Media editor Allie Gregory, who was a delight to speak with.
Wolfgang Tillmans Profile (2023)
In my second media writing class we were asked to choose an organization to focus on for our major writing projects of the semester. I chose the Art Gallery of Ontario, and I wrote my final profile piece on photographer Wolfgang Tillmans' installment there at the time.
